The Only Children Here

Well I told you I’d post pictures of the puppy and Penny so here they are. First a little background: Penny is what is called a Teacup Chihuahua mostly because when she was first brought home (long before I met her) she would fit into a teacup. It was not uncommon for her to be carried around in the shirt pocket of her mommy. Penny has met all the friends she cares to already and doesn’t plan on being nice to anyone else. Unfortunately this includes high pitched yapping, snarling, and taking bites at fingers or objects brought too close. It is not uncommon for her to get a bug up her butt and start taking snaps at any of us, of course most of you know already that she has a deep hatred for “the boy” especially since he takes great delight in tormenting her whenever he can. But she is our girl and she always has a shoulder and head to curl up next to and do the Chihuahua shiver.

Brutus on the other hand is a Boston Terrier/Beagle mix, which is called a Boggle. Oddly enough he will end up growing to look like a miniature Boxer, go figure. He also likes to nip and gnaw on whatever he can find; rolls of toilet paper are his latest discovery. In contrast to Penny he gnaws and nips because he’s still a puppy and is still in the age of discovery and what better way to investigate something than chew on it. Both of them are a constant sleeper which is not really a good thing since he sleeps most of the day when we’re not playing with him and then keeps us up all night whining and wanting to sleep in a lap. While Penny is stuck at her full grown weight of 3lbs Brutus in contrast will get to about 20-25lbs depending on how much crap food we give him. So far he tries very hard to play with Penny and chases her under the bed and barks at her with that little nub of a tail wiggling until she jumps up onto the bed or the couch which, for now, he cannot get to. So here are the pictures, enjoy. I need breakfast. Okay so I haven't figured out how to post pictures and text artfully yet so hush you.
